Open foundations, no vendor lock-in
International open source platform standards (FOLIO, DSpace), where the data and the code remain your property.
The flexibility of open source (OS) platforms hides a complex technological background. With our in-depth expertise, we turn this complexity into an efficient, value-creating solution tailored to your institution, from installation to day-to-day operation.
Break free from closed systems with the international strength of open source, and enjoy the guaranteed security and support of a dedicated European integrator partner.
International open source platform standards (FOLIO, DSpace), where the data and the code remain your property.
A Hungarian developer and integrator behind it, European server infrastructure, 100% EU data protection and digital compliance.
We do not leave you alone with the code. Managed Cloud operation, continuous updates, a 24/7 safety net and local support.
You do not have to replace everything at once. You can build your institution's digital future step by step.
In the public collections sector, “technological sovereignty” is not just an abstract EU directive but the cornerstone of future-proof institutional operation. By introducing open source, modular ecosystems (such as FOLIO or DSpace), we put an end to the dependence typical of traditional closed-box systems: the maintaining body can shape its digital future at its own pace, free from legacy constraints.
This freedom, however, only means real corporate and institutional security if, relying on a dedicated European partner and fully meeting strict data protection rules, institutions know their valuable cultural and research data is kept on European servers.

DSpace is open source software developed specifically for creating and managing digital repositories. For public collections, its most important role is to provide a professional, standardised and sustainable framework for storing, preserving and publishing the institution's digital assets online.
Storing historical documents, photos, maps, audio and video recordings and making them searchable.
A store of theses, dissertations, research data, publications and digital learning materials.
Online service of digitised books, journals and other textual documents.
Publishing object photos and descriptive data, permission-based searchability, standard archiving.
Qulto-Monguz is an official development partner of the DSpace community — opens in a new tab.
This solution of ours builds on the latest current version of DSpace, extended with our own developments — media playback, cloning and moving records between collections, and Qulto Annotate for annotating and tagging PDFs in bulk.

FOLIO is an open source, community-developed library services platform. Its name stands for Future of Libraries is Open, which sums up the philosophy of the project perfectly.
The FOLIO community: a global collaboration in which libraries, software developers and commercial companies jointly take part in designing, developing and supporting the software.
The FOLIO software: a new-generation microservice architecture — built from smaller, specialised applications independent of one another. As it is open source, libraries are not tied to a single vendor and are free to choose support, hosting or development.
We joined the FOLIO community at the very beginning, starting development in 2016 with the user import, login-saml and calendar modules. In connection with the latter, we led a round-table discussion at the 2018 WOLFcon conference.
Qulto-Monguz is an official member of the FOLIO community — opens in a new tab and, with a fixed development hour budget, a so-called Contributing Partner.

Open Journal Systems (OJS) is open source software developed and maintained by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP). Its primary aim is to provide a complete, professional platform for managing and publishing scholarly, peer-reviewed journals online.
Our service includes cloud-based provision of the OJS and OMP systems, as well as implementation and customisation alongside operation, and it helps set up editorial workflows and roles.
Our colleagues will gladly help you choose and implement the right open source solution — leave your contact details and we will get in touch! Fields marked with an asterisk are required.
